If you're having a party, make it a tea party!

Christmas is a time for giving, full of tradition and a special magic. It is an opportunity for us

to tell our own Christmas story in our own way, and in so doing say "Thank you" to our

students, co-workers and partners, for our successful work. The Tea Party organized by the

English department for all students was a real hit. We served the best Earl Grey tea,

cucumber sandwiches, cookies and, of course, what sort of Christmas party would it be

without punch and traditional Christmas songs!

How we work at Vodnikova

We work in groups, pairs or individually...

The advantage is that the groups are small so everyone has the chance to say something...

Teaching from the front is kept to the minimum. Students learn grammar and vocabulary

themselves through games and exercises.

Recognized Certificates

A WORLD OF LANGUAGES (SVIJET JEZIKA ) certificate is a public document valid for registration in your electronic employment record (e-radna knjižnica) and can be acquired in two ways:

1. by attending a course at Vodnikova and passing the exams at the end of modules 2, 4, 8, 10, 14 and 16; the final exam and recognized certificate are included in the tuition fee.

2. by passing the exam for one of the 6 levels of knowledge without attending the course.

If you have sufficient knowledge of a foreign language and wish to acquire a recognized certificate, you do not have to attend a course in that language, but only register for and sit the exam at our school.

Exams for the various levels for candidates who are not students from our school are held several times in a semester (once a month)

If you are not sure which level to register for, you can attend a preliminary test, which will show the relevant level of knowledge.

The preliminary test is free of charge.

Recognized certificates will enable you to:

- register your level of knowledge in your electronic employment record,

- continue studying the foreign language at a related institution in Europe,

- find work more easily where the knowledge of a foreign language is a requirement.

Credit certificates

Credit certificates are acquired by successfully passing the final test for the intermediate modules (1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 15) and are needed for enrolment in the next learning module.

CROATIAN LANGUAGE COURSES - beginners

HOW TO ENROL in the first module (A1.1, for beginners):

a) on-line

Open/click on https://czsj.vodnikova.hr/testiranje. Register.

A link for activation of your profile will be sent to your e-mail address.

When we receive your choice, we will send you the enrolment documents and an invoice for payment.

As soon as we receive your payment, we will send you notification of your enrolment in your chosen class.

Before the beginning of classes, we will notify you by phone or e-mail about the date of the first lesson.

b) in person at Vodnikova 12, first floor left, room 102.

Enrolment schedule:
Jan 24 to Feb 18: weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Requirements for enrolment:

- aged 15 years and above

- signed agreement on education and enrolment form (for minors the agreement must be signed by the candidate and their parent or guardian),

- payment of the first instalment of tuition fees (Croatian citizens), or of the total fee (non-Croatian citizens).

Our teachers' qualifications:

Classes are run by employees of Vodnikova who hold Masters degrees in foreign languages,

and have participated in many professional seminars and conferences in the field of foreign language teaching methodology.

Teachers from Vodnikova are mentors to foreign language students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences who gain practical knowledge at our school, and take the

practical part of their exam in the Foreign Language Teaching Methodology course, under the guidance and supervision of their mentors/tutors..

HOW TO ENROL in a higher module/level

Following testing or presentation of a certificate on having completed the previous module/level, issued by an accredited/recognized foreign language school in Croatia.

TESTING AND ENROLMENT (choose the method)

a) test on-line, orally by telephone, enrol on-line or in person at Vodnikova

Open/click: https://czsj.vodnikova.hr/testiranje. Register.

A link for activation of your profile will be sent to your e-mail address. Then log in to the application.

Choose TAKE A TEST and Croatian language.

The test has several parts (modules). Each part has 15 questions, and you are allowed 7 minutes (so we ask you to complete the test quietly).

If you have at least 10 correct answers, you can move on from the first part of the test to the second, and so on.

If you have less than 10 correct answers in any part of the test, that marks the end of the test for you and it is saved in our test database. You then can choose the time and date for oral

testing and how you want to be tested (by telephone, or in person at Vodnikova).

After the oral test, the teacher will decide which module/level you can enrol in.

Choose REGISTRATION IN MY MODULE, the language and the class time.

We will then send you the enrolment documents and an invoice for your tuition fee.

As soon as we receive your payment, we will send you notification of enrolment in your chosen class.
