 What our students said in reply to the question: Why Vodnikova?

In 2014 I enrolled in the summer semester of the first level of German language, which I had

never learnt before. I was surprised by the quick progress the group made in learning the

basic language, as we were guided in a systematic, logical and above all entertaining way by

Prof. Antonija Tisaj. Since there was no intensive summer course at the end of the semester,

at your suggestion I continued learning with one other student with private tuition. In the

autumn I passed the exam for Module 2 and enrolled in Module 3 at your school.

Unfortunately, I had to learn German intensively for my work so I enrolled in another

intensive course...



 Detailed planned classes with imaginative memory techniques and audio-visual

content

For a while now I have wanted to describe the experience of learning Italian at Vodnikova. I

started learning Italian after I met a charming Italian man who won my heart, and who

became my life partner after 4 years, and Italy became my new home. Over those four years I

attended a course at your school with the excellent teacher, Jasmina Antić Hajdarhodžić, who

is a wonderful person and superb teacher, who passes on her love for the language and Italy to

her students, so that you acquire all that knowledge as you go, without even noticing it. After

three years' living in Italy, it seems that Prof. Hajdarhodžić loves Italy even more...



 Vodnikova is the best!

I have been a student at your esteemed school since Module 1 English, and have been

attending regularly for 7 years. That is to say, I was also given 50% discount off the fee for

Module 12, for which I am extremely grateful to you and have to admit that I have not had

such a positive surprise as this for a long time! Currently I am enrolled in Module 13, winter

semester, in the 2016/17 school year. That is to say, due to extraordinary obligations at work,

and daily overtime, I am not able to attend classes regularly. I am extremely sorry that I am

not able to attend classes regularly at the moment, because I definitely intend to complete

Modules 13 and 14 and level C1, and I hope...

The subject of the workshop to be held on Wednesday 27th May 2015, at 18.00 hours, will be

Italian cuisine, and it will be followed by socialising, combined with an opportunity to try

pasta and wine.

The only thing you need is to be in a good mood and the desire to spend time with others in a

relaxed atmosphere whilst speaking Italian.

Italian cuisine is probably the best known in the world thanks to its diversity and wealth of

flavours and seasonings. Its main characteristic is extreme simplicity, and it is based more on

quality ingredients than complex preparation. There isn't a single city in the world without an

Italian restaurant, and the meals served there are original and home-made, more often from a

grandmothe's kitchen than a Master Chef workshop. It should also be mentioned that Italy is

the country with the most protected marks of excellence in Europe, and the Mediterrean type

of diet it represents is claiming more and more fans.

A Journey through the Hispanic World

In the month of Hispanic culture, a workshop was held on 14th October 2014 aimed at

acquainting participants with the culture and traditions of the Hispanic world. The

participants at this workshop had the opportunity to learn more about the long and stormy

history, cultural heritage and famous people originating from this exceptionally rich culture.

Mnemo Learning Techniques - the Art of Remembering

Another workshop in the series was held for students at Vodnikova. The intention of Prof.

Blažić was to make it easier for students to remember and retain new content by using

metaphors and associations, powerful tools which help us recognize and remember certain

concepts, words or structures in learning the English language. At the beginning of the

workshop she talked about intelligence, the triune brain theory, synaptic connections, and

linking ideas.

This dynamic and educational workshop was truly interesting, and students were also given a

list of ideas to help them learn English more easily and in a fun way.

Job Interview

All the participants were delighted with the workshop entitledJob Interview. The aim was

to instruct participants in how to prepare as well as possible for the final and most important

step in their search for a job, and how to avoid typical mistakes,. They had the opportunity to

listen to a native speaker and with his help work out the meaning of the abbreviations that

frequently appear in advertisements for jobs, and put into practice his advice on how to

behave at a job interview.

Of course, the time passed very quickly, and you can hear the rest of the story from the

comments:

Održan je drugi koncert nedjeljom u foyeru HNK-a

U okviru ciklusa koncerata nedjeljom, 26.veljače održan je i drugi koncert u nizu u foyeru HNK-a, a nastupili Gorana Biondić Ruško i Adela Golac Rilović uz klavirsku pratnju Darijana Ivezića.

Naši polaznici imali su priliku besplatno prisustvovati ovom koncertu na kojem su se izvodile popularne arije iz djela Mendelssohna, Mozarta i Bellinija.
